Classes are held is the Jonesboro, Georgia area. Exclusively Handmade is available

 to do workshop onsite for your  scout troop, organization or club.

We offer classes  for all ages 3-103, call to arrange a special workshop for your

group.

 

May  Classes

 

Basic Sewing Class

Students will learn the basic of sewing while having fun and creating useful

items.

The class will consist of four 90 minute sessions.

 

Week 1 - Understanding you sewing machine.

Students will learn how to thread the sewing machine, types of thread, and

common problems with the sewing machine. 

Learn to sew straight machine stitches, basic hand stitches to create a pillow.*

 

 

Week 2 - More Straight  Stitches.

Reinforcing straight stitching  and introducing pivoting at corners. Students

will learn to attach trims and sew on snaps to make a purse. 

Learn to make purses to match every outfit!

 

 

Week 3 - Understanding Patterns.

Learn how to choose a pattern, how to determine yardage needed,

and choosing the correct fabric for your pattern.

Students will use a pattern to make sleep shorts.  Student will insert elastic,

sew curves and learn how to hem on the sewing machine.

 

 

Week 4 - Sewing with Knits.

Learn how to choose the right knit, the right needle and pattern. Students

 will make a simple T-shirt. Perfect to wear with your sleep shorts!

All fabric and supplies included, except polyfil.

 *Bring 12 ozs. of polyfil or may be purchase @ class.

Hugs and Kisses Dolls

15"Cloth Baby Doll

This is a two hour class.

Students will learn to basic hand stitches, stuff, apply hair, and draw faces.

Students will take their baby home in a dress, pamper and a birth certificate.

Choice of skin  and dress color.

All supplies included.

Cost: $20.00

Reborn Doll Workshop

Make a beautiful newborn  doll. Doll  has vinyl head 

and hands, soft cloth weighted body.  Students will

 learn to paint doll for a realistic look, apply

eyes lashes, attach wig and stuff the body.

Your baby will go home

in a romper sleeper, pamper and wrapped in a blanket,

a birth certificate will complete your baby.          

Ages 8 & up
